Installation · last step

The program is installed. Now the extension in your browser.

Do Not Feed AI is a program on your computer and a browser extension that masks data in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot. The installer has prepared the program - one thing is left: adding the extension to your browser. You do this once, and it takes less than a minute.

Instructions for:

Add the extension in the browser where you use ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Copilot. We support Edge, Chrome and Firefox.

  1. The program is already on your computer

The installer has prepared it, you don't need to download anything. The part of the program that works with the browser has no window and does not run all the time: the browser starts it briefly when the extension needs it. Separately, there is a tray app (the "Do Not Feed AI" shortcut in the Start menu) with the clipboard shortcuts and files from the menu; you start it when you want to use those features.

  2. Add the extension to Edge

    1. Open the store and click Add to Chrome.
    2. Edge may show a question at the top about allowing extensions from other stores: confirm it. In this store the button is called "Add to Chrome": that is normal, the extension will be added to Edge.
    3. Confirm Add extension. The extension icon will appear in the browser toolbar.
    Manual install (for IT)

A fallback for when a company network blocks the store, for offline installs and for deployments by the IT department.

    1. Copy the address edge://extensions, paste it into the browser's address bar and press Enter. A web page cannot open this address by itself.
    2. Turn on Developer mode - the switch is at the bottom of the left panel.
    3. Click Load unpacked. In the folder picker, click the address bar at the top, paste %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\donotfeedai\wtyczka-chrome, press Enter and click Select Folder.
  3. Pin the icon and check

Click the puzzle icon in the browser toolbar, then the eye icon next to Do Not Feed AI - the extension icon will always be visible. Click it: the panel should show Program: connected.

Load the license: in the panel, click Load a license file and choose the .lic file. Without a license, protection is off - don't have a file yet? Write to [email protected] and we will send you a trial license.

Done. On ChatGPT or Claude, type as a test Client: Anna Kowalska, PESEL 85032145675 (PESEL is the Polish national ID number) - the extension icon in the corner of the page will show the number of detected items, and the model will get replacements.

Something not working?

  • The panel shows "Program: not found", or the red icon in the chat says "Protection unavailable" - quit the browser completely, not just the window (⋯ → Close Microsoft Edge), and open it again. Also check that the program is listed in Settings → Apps → Installed apps as "Do Not Feed AI companion".
  • The store does not open, or there is no "Add to Chrome" button - a company network may have blocked the store. Use the manual install (above) or ask your IT department to add the extension.
  • In the manual install there is no "Load unpacked" button - developer mode is off or blocked by your IT department. Ask IT to add the extension.
  • Edge asks for permission to use extensions from other stores - this is normal, because the extension is in the Chrome store. Confirm the permission, then add the extension.
  • Windows showed a "Windows protected your PC" window when you ran the installer - that is SmartScreen. The installer is signed (publisher: Sebastian Obara It&Consulting), but a new file with few downloads is still building a reputation, so this is normal. Choose More info → Run anyway. You can check the signature under Properties → Digital Signatures, details: Digitally signed, and you can check it.
  • All files and instructions: the "Installation" section on the home page. Questions: [email protected].
